Mike McCarthy
Technology Expert
Remote Desktop Support
Integrity, Trust, Commitment
I am a veteran of over 34 years in technology and have worked for some of the biggest technology corporations in the South Bay Area (Silicon Valley), California. I relocated to the Phoenix area in 1998 where I opened my own technology consulting company. In 2003 I began Remote Control support and over the years have provided my technology services to local commercial companies (such as Doctors, Dentists, Lawyers, Home Builders, Auto Dealerships, Fire Departments, and more) as well as residential. I have serviced systems remotely as far north as South Dakota, as far east as New York and as far south as Missouri.

I support both Windows (from Windows XP up to Windows 8) and Macintosh based computers , printers, networks (wireless, cabled, modems, routers, switches, VoIP phones), operating systems and application software including Microsoft Office.

Through Remote Control, I troubleshoot and assist with a variety of applications, clean, tune and optimize systems, remove infections (including the FBI and DOJ ransom-ware infections, Trojan Horses, Malicious-ware, Spy and Ad-ware and more), troubleshoot and resolve wireless and cabled issues, perform remote data recovery and just about anything technology related.

I troubleshoot connectivity issues and open up required ports for gaming devices (such as Xbox, Play Station and Wii).

I troubleshoot connectivity issues for many devices including smart and iPhones, iPads, Tablets, and more.

I troubleshoot and resolve email issues for both Windows based computers (Outlook Express, Office Outlook, Windows Live Mail), web email and Macintosh mail.

In order to provide Remote Control services you will need a Windows or Macintosh based operating system and a good Internet connection.

Since I do not market my services, I only support referred residential customers. I no longer offer support for commercial or professional offices.

Remote support is a means of linking up from one system to another through a dedicated, data encrypted and secure pipe that allows for remote access.

Over the years I have tested and used many variations of Remote Control products, but eventually found Teamviewer (www.teamviewer.com) to be by far the most popular and secured means to this end.

Teamviewer is password protected; generating a new password each time it is run. This means once a session is over, access to a remote system is blocked (for your protection) until you run Teamviewer again and generate a new password. Also, Teamviewer provides for 256 bit AES encryption to ensure your data is safe and protected while connected to me.

No, but you will need to be present initially in order to run Teamviewer and provide me your System ID and temporary password to connect.

Because of the logistics involved, I now only support connections across the country.

Once I enter our System ID and password a connection is made within seconds.

Once service is complete, I unattach myself from your system and you close out your side of the link.

This depends on the issue at hand, but typically between 30 and 60 minutes.

No service will ever exceed $89.95 or any lower than $44.95.

If I am unable to resolve your issue, then I will not submit your billing for services rendered.

Payment for services is provided by credit or debit card to my secured PayPal account.
